Secret CIA Prisons?

The following story was written by Washington Post staff writer Dana Priest and published on Wednesday, 2 November 2005:



CIA Holds Terror Suspects in Secret Prisons


The CIA has been hiding and interrogating some of its most important al Qaeda captives at a Soviet-era compound in Eastern Europe, according to U.S. and foreign officials familiar with the arrangement.

The secret facility is part of a covert prison system set up by the CIA nearly four years ago that at various times has included sites in eight countries, including Thailand, Afghanistan and several democracies in Eastern Europe, as well as a small center at the Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba, according to current and former intelligence officials and diplomats from three continents. I say, SO WHAT! On 11 September 2001, 4 years, 225 days and 3 hours ago, Several thousand innocent people lost their lives in the largest terrorist attack against the US. If we can obtain info from these savages that will prevent another attack, then get out the jumper cables and fire up the generator! It's all just a matter of amperage!

Should Zacarias Moussaoui Be Executed?


I think so. Even if he is crazy. He would have been on one of those planes on 11 September 2001, had he not been arrested on unrelated charges the month prior. We can even avoid the whole death penalty question by just dropping him off at a New York City fire station!
